GreenWood’s 20th Birthday

On Friday 24th May 2013 it will be 20 years since GreenWood Forest Park opened its doors to the public. In the past 20 years the company has grown considerably and is now well known as North Wales leading family attraction, welcoming thousands of visitors each year.

To celebrate this great occasion GreenWood will be offering unlimited FREE drinks to all visitors on 24th May. The staff will commemorate the day by sharing old stories and pictures of how GreenWood has changed and evolved over the years.

Throughout the week of Whitsun GreenWood will continue the celebrations with special events including; Circus Workshops, A special performance of Puck of Pook’s Hill, Daily shows in the Forest Theatre, Donkey Rides and much more.

Why not come along and help GreenWood celebrate 20 years of family fun and look forward to what the next 20 will bring!

Whitsun Family Fun

From 25th May – 2nd of June Snowdonia’s award-winning family attraction will have a host of special events to suit the whole family.

On Thursday 30th May, the magic of Rudyard Kipling will be coming to GreenWood with a performance of his popular children’s play Puck of Pook’s Hill. See more info below.

For sweet treat not to be missed, visit our craft area on 26th and 27th to meet Helen from the Wooden Spoon. She will be selling her delicious homemade puddings produced locally on Anglesey.

 Plus, join Ricardo the Pirate, Howard the Magician or Smarty Marty the Clown at the Forest Theatre for their ever popular and unforgettable shows and challenges, be transformed by Lookachu Body Art and Hair Braiding and even take a ride on a Donkey!* Fancy taking something special home with you?  Make a Gypsy flower, do some log sawing with name engraving or even watch Pyro Art with Nader!

Puck of Pook’s Hill- Children’s Play -Thursday 30th May

A Rudyard Kipling children’s play that will capture their imaginations!When Dan & Una go down to the meadow one summer’s afternoon to practise their performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the last person they expect to meet is Puck, the mischievous trickster fairy himself!  Join the children as Puck tells them tales of old forgotten gods, of bold knights & sacred swords, of Vikings on a thrilling quest for gold, of soldiers & battles, myths & legends and finally of the triumphant founding of the law of the land.  Together with their wily guide, the children learn of the magic and the great deeds of history that forged the Britain they (and we) live in today. The performance will be on Thursday 30th May.

Father’s Day – Sunday 16th June

Fathers Day Gift

Have you ever built a Den with your Dad? This Father’s Day treat your Dad to fun packed day out in the Forest. GreenWood Forest Park, Y Felinheli is great fun for children as well as Dads who are young at heart!

Jump aboard the world’s only people powered roller coaster, zoom down the longest sledge run in Wales and embark on the Jungle Boat Adventure. Plus, build a Den in the Wild Woods, take off your socks and shoes for the BareFoot Trail or take a ride on the fabulous Moon Karts.

To make the day extra special GreenWood will be giving out a FREE gift to all Dads, an engraved wooden disk to keep as a memento of the day.

 

 *Please note that the Donkeys do not like very cold and wet weather! They often go on strike when the conditions are bad so please call to check to see if they are here.
