Great New Attraction at GreenWood! - Moon Karts now open!
May Day Bank Holiday weekend at GreenWood was a huge success, welcoming many families who were delighted to see the sun shining at last! Although there were a few showery moments on Sunday, no one was put off and the sun finally came back out to play. A May Pole appeared especially for the weekend; and everyone who had ‘spring’ in their feet had a go! Joining us on Saturday were the Caernarfonshire Girl Guides who were taking part in their County Camp in Caeathro near Caernarfon. The girls took to the Mini May Pole Dancing like naturals! To see what other entertainment we have planned, please check our Events page.
Happy Birthday! This year marks GreenWood's 15th Birthday and the Park has evolved tremendously over the last 15 years. From its beginnings as a Educational Centre in 1993 it has grown to meet the needs of its visitors and in 2004 changed its name to GreenWood Forest Park when it became a Family Adventure Park. Through all of the changes, GreenWood has never lost sight of the importance of Sustainability, Environmental awareness and the promise to reduce its Carbon Footpint where possible. Please see some of the work we do by checking out our Green Page.
Portugese Visit to GreenWood The Park was recently visited by delegates from Portugal who came to Wales on a special fact finding mission for one full day only. Jorge Lira, who is an architect in Portugal came to Wales with his family 4 years ago and visited GreenWood as part of the tourist trail and was amazed to have discovered such a place. ‘Stephen Bristow’s ideas behind GreenWood have inspired me and many things I have learnt about during my visit, I will take back to Portugal.’ ‘The Parque Ibérico de Natureza e Aventura (translated means 'Iberia Nature & Adventure Park') in which I am involved, will be on a much larger scale; phase one will take up nearly 100 hectares. The whole concept of GreenWood has been inspiring indeed!’ Bus a smash hit! The new bus to GreenWood proved very popular this season and we are hoping it will run again in 2008. Full details and bus timetables can be viewed on the How to Find Us.This is an excellent, reliable service straight to the GreenWood gate four times daily thoughout school holidays.
