Junior visitors travelling to GreenWood Forest Park are able to enjoy free entry simply by using the bus service or hopping on a bike!
As part of the GreenWood sustainable ethos, the Park is encouraging visitor’s to use the bus service or cycle in, reducing the carbon impact of travelling to and from GreenWood. The incentive was launched last year and has now been extended into 2016 and is expected to run until the end of the Easter holidays with bike journeys a recent addition to the sustainable travel incentive.
Steve Bristow, Managing Director of GreenWood Forest Park said: “We’re really keen to encourage people to use the bus service so much so that we are offering free child entry until Spring for bus users. We wanted to extend our commitment further and include visitors who make the safe journey by bike.
“Hopefully this will not only attract visitors but will encourage people to think about how they travel. As a fun park that is grounded firmly in environmental principles, this really makes sense for us.”
The free entry/bus/bike policy is available seven days a week – to view the timetable, please visit the news pages of the GreenWood website www.greenwoodforestpark.co.uk To claim free entry, visitors must present a valid bus ticket to the Admissions Team upon arrival at the Park or show the bike travelled on. Children must be accompanied by at least one adult.
