By Car We are only 75 minutes from the M56 in the foothills of beautiful Snowdonia. Find us mid way between Bangor and Caernarfon, just a few minutes from the A55 Coastal Highway. We are just off the B4366 Bethel road - look for the brown tourist signs.
BY BUS OR TRAIN GreenWood is 20 minutes walk from the post office in Y Felinheli (86 Bangor - Bethel - Llanberis, every 60 mins), and 15 minutes from the Gors Bach Pub near Bethel (5B Bangor - Y Felinheli - Caernarfon, every 60 mins). Nearest train station is Bangor. We're pleased to say that the no 72 bus operated by Padarn Bus will now be stopping at GreenWood 4 times a day Monday to Saturday in the school holidays (but not Bank Holidays). Click here for TIMETABLE DIRECTIONS ON FOOT FROM Y FELINHELI BUS STOP OPTION 1 15 minutes. This includes a narrow footpath unsuitable for wheelchairs and larger pushchairs. Stand with your back to the Post Office facing Bangor Rd, look right and you will see a small road off to the left around 20 yards away. PENBRYN RD Cross over and take this small road. After the two big red brick houses there is a footpath sign on the left Turn right and you come immediately onto the main road. Turn left up the hill. Continue along this road, under the flyover, keep on the main road, it bends around and down to right. GreenWood is just past this bend on the left hand side and is clearly sign posted.- You do not need to turn off before hand. OPTION 2 25-30 minutes. Standing with your back to the Post Office facing Bangor Rd. Cross over and turn right continuing along Bangor Rd until you come to a left hand turn BRYN FFYNNON take this and carry on up the hill until you come to the junction with LON LLWYN/ BUSH RD take this left. Continue along this road, under the flyover, keep on the main road, it bends around and down to right. GreenWood is just past this bend on the left hand side and is clearly sign posted.- You do not need to turn off before hand. The number 72 bus stops outside the Gors Bach pub near Bethel even when it doesnt come directly to the GreenWood gate. This is a slightly longer walk in from the Bethel side. It is about a mile, but is fairly flat and perhaps more suitable for people with limited mobility.
