Public transport users will find travelling to GreenWood Forest Park a little bit easier from 24thAugust as Gwynfor Coaches takes over its special service to the award winning Adventure Park in Y Felinheli.
After the bus route was re-tendered last year, the direct bus to GreenWood was cancelled. Visitors were still able to use public transport to get to GreenWood, however this included a walk from the nearest bus stop in Y Felinheli or the Bethel Gors Bach Bus stop.
Local Bethel Councillor Siôn Jones had this to say about the news ‘I am very glad that the bus providers and Gwynedd Council see the need for more frequent bus times to GreenWood, it only shows the success of this fantastic park. I am also glad to see that public transport is being used to visit attractions across our beautiful area.’
The reinstated bus will now be stopping outside GreenWood four to five times a day Monday to Saturday including the school holidays. As an extra incentive anyone travelling by bus will get a free drink when they show their bus ticket at the entrance.
